Optional Review Session
I will hold an optional review session on Thursday, May 2, at our usual place and time (Eck 1130, from 2:00-3:15pm). The session will be informal. I do not plan to prepare a presentation, but will instead answer questions asked by attendees. Feel free to stay for all or any part of the session.

Assignment for First Class
Prior to the first class, you should download and read the Syllabus. In addition, you should download Part I of the reading assignments. For the first class, read the assigned materials under chapter “1. Orientation” in the reading assignments (i.e., the bottom of page 1 and top half of page 2). Much of this first assignment is background material that we will not cover in detail. In the first class, we will focus on class administration issues, the basic sources of tax law and guidance, and general tax policy considerations.
